I may not be old enough to vote, and my political voice at this point in my life may not even matter, but this election is the most important election of my life. During the next presidency, I will become an adult. I will have student loans, I will be responsible for health insurance, I will be entering adulthood for the very first time, and I will be paying taxes. Up until this point in my life the only aspect of a presidency that has directly affected me was education. This election is different. This president will be in control as my life transitions from one stage to the next transitioning from dependence to independence.
I dislike the fact that Donald Trump became president but we should all give him the benifit of a doubt and wait and see what he does for the USA. He may be racist but in reality he cant make any laws pass without the vote of the congress. I highly doubt he will be a good president but i dont think anyone of the candidates were so America was doomed either way.
With the election being one of the most intense presidential races of the past few cycles, many Americans are too caught up with personality. It worries me that so many Americans are picking a candidate just based off of how loud they yell or how much money they have. Americans should be looking at the qualities that will make a candidate effective in office trustworthiness, intelligence, relatability and authority.
I think the election was kind of like a big reality show there was so much drama that shouldnt have been there and its caused so much division between races its sad to see this nation like this all beacause they wanted a little drama instead of actually thinking about the future of this country.
